Super.fi 5 by Ultimate Ears - Headphones to Blow Your Ear Hair Back

Ultimate Ears - Super.fi 5

My ear buds are jealous. Three weeks ago Blake handed me a set of Super.fi 5's by Ultimate Ears. He had a pair of the pro's and wanted me to give the economy model a test run. For years Ultimate Ears (a Logitech company) has been making quality in ear monitors for music professionals. Their endorsements look more like a Lolla schedule than a resume, and their website doesn't skimp on celebrity mug shots to prove it.

Three weeks ago they went in my noggin and three weeks ago my ear buds became backups. I can't tell, but I think the buds are pouting.

Orton changes his M.O.

Bears QB Kyle Orton winds up for a pass against the Vikings on Sunday.  (Photo: ESPN.com)

Prior to the season, I was one of those Bears fans that was
happy Kyle Orton chose "heads" in the pre-season coin toss to become the Bears'
starter. At this point, the Orton-backers look right. However, I can say that I
was dead wrong in how I wanted Kyle
Orton to be the starter:

Halloween: Geeky Coffins. Spooky.

With Halloween just around the corner, it's time that we get geek on coffins. This sullen post isn't about death or dying - it's merely an ode to my favorite "holiday". I really can't imagine how cool it would be to have a Halloween display at my house and have one of these uber-geeky coffins on display for the masses to see.

A Geek's Guide to "iWorking Out" Using the Nike+

With the Chicago Marathon ending last weekend, us nerds had the chance to watch thousands of finely-tuned athletes make us feel like the computer-zombies that we are. We often forget that the internet, web coding, and assorted hackery aren't the best contributors to our personal well-being and many of us end up sitting on the couch frittering away endless hours doing battle with our friends on XBOX Live.

How was this not The Year?

It's been more than 24 hours since the biggest, quickest and most pathetic letdown of my sports fan life, but the anger, pain and confusion are still as fresh as they
were when Alfonso Soriano ended the Cubs' World Series chances with a half-hearted half swing. (Give him some credit, though. I'm pretty sure it was the first pitch of
the NLDS that he actually tried to take.)

Unfortunately for all of us, we now have a painfully long
offseason to nurse our wounds and decide what can be done to make a team that won 97 games more successful in October.

But let's not think about the future just yet. Let's wallow
in self-pity and linger over the questions a bit longer. It's our Cub-given right.
