Welcome back to Live Wire

David Wooderson

All right, all right, all right.

Live Wire is back on the air after a long, long hiatus - one that had nothing to do with a lack of music news in Chicago, because the fact is, we live in one of the best, most vibrant music cities in the world. Plus, we would totally beat Austin, Texas in a fight.

In any case, you can expect a lot more music-related stuff to pop up on this blog in the coming weeks, including album and concert reviews, interviews and need-to-know info. Much of it will be courtesy of our good friends over at Loud Loop Press, who are amplifying the heck out of Chicago's music scene. Stay tuned.

Oh, and one more thing. Lollapalooza. The gargantuan music fest is less than two weeks away (August 6-8). With that in mind, here are a couple of calls to action:

  1. Are you a writer or photographer who will be attending the festival? Want to contribute coverage right here on our blog? We want you, too. Email us, tweet us or just comment here and we will make it happen.
  2. Just want to go to the fest? Make sure you're a fan of Windy Citizen on Facebook - we're giving away a three-day pass to one lucky liker.

That's it for now. 'Til next time, just keep on livin', man. L-I-V-I-N.
