It's Willis Tower. Willis is paying big bucks to have their name on it and they deserve to have it called Willis Tower.

Gotta agree with you there. People need to get over it. I wailed and moaned like everyone else when it was announced, but Sears left town a looong time ago. Time to get someone new up there on the marquis so we can pump dollars into the tower and take care of the place.

Good points.

Regardless of who pays for the name, it's still interesting that a building name is persistent. I'm not complaining, but I'm tempted to still call it Sears because my friends wouldn't know what I'm talking about otherwise.

The new name will probably set in eventually, but I doubt it will be right away. I tried telling my Facebook friends that I went to the Willis Tower, but it didn't work. How long before everyone knows what I'm talking about?

Willis didn't pay me anything.
