Two Chicago Transit Authority employees suffered electrical burns on CTA train tracks near the Sedgwick station this afternoon.
Both were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious-to-critical condition, said Kevin MacGregor, a Chicago Fire Department spokesman.
Police said one of workers suffered burns from the chest up, fell off a ladder and hurt an ankle. The other had burns to the face.
Power to the Brown Line was shut down after the accident, but had been restored as of about 2:30 p.m. and service would return to normal shortly, an agency spokeswoman said. (Click HERE for CTA service updates.)
