Here are the books:
Wonder Portraits of a Remembered City vol 3: City of Monsters City of Ghosts by Tony Fitzpatrick (Author's home page)
Neo Bohemia: Art and Commerce in the Postindustrial City by Richard Lloyd (Buy it on Amazon)
The Great Perhaps by Joe Meno (Read it on google books)
Streets and San Mans Guide to Chicago Eats by Dennis Foley Read it on Google Books
Upvoted for awesome title.
Chicagos Best Dive Bars by Jonathan Stockton (Read it on Google Books!)
This is super rad. Quimby's is the righteously awesome sister store to ChicagoComics.
If it's cool to nominate a graphic novel for Chicago-related books, I'd have picked Chris Ware's uber depressing Jimmy Corrigan: The Smartest Kid on Earth. I'd say Scott Story's Windy City is a worthy prose nomination.
