The Wall Street Journal reported on its website wsj.com that Apple Inc. co-founder and CEO Steve Jobs underwent a liver transplant at a Tennessee back in April. The article also says interim CEO Tim Cook would soon get an expanded role within the company, possibly setting the stage for Jobs to take a pivotal, but more hands-off role within the company.
