I forgot about Conrad Black, which is silly when you consider he's the whole reason the S-T is in this predicament.
Intellectual property may be the Chicago Sun Times most valuable asset.
More goodness from Mr. Fourcher.
I most enjoyed the link to the page of footnotes listing every company the Sun-Times Media GRoup has an equity stake in:
http://www.kccllc.net/documents/0911092/0911092090601000000000001.pdf
Warning, it's a PDF.
Mike, you don't link to the page this footnote refers to. Are these really all the companies the STMG has an equity stake in?
I recognize Centerstage, and a few of these, but what's everything else?
Iana, you're looking at the myriad of weeklies and shoppers assembled by STMG, as well as the Johnstown (PA) Tribune, what remains of the free daily, Red Streak and papers Hollinger International once owned in Australia, Canada and Israel. Oklahoma Airplane, LLC is the strangest, since it's an airplane training and rental company in OK City. I think there used to a mining company in there too. Consider it all the detritus of Lord Conrad Black's legacy.
