For the membership seat holders at the Chicago Board Options Exchange, rumors of an acquistion by CME Group must sound sweet indeed.
Crain's Chicago Business reports on "feelers" being put out by unnamed "intermediaries" for a deal that would be valued at up to $5 billion. Under that scenario, each CBOE seatholder would collect around $4 million. That's almost doubt the current rate for seats as of last week.
