I have been wondering how long they have been on strike out there, among a lot of other questions surrounding it and the people. Like, how are they making a living if so many are out there every day? Has the union been supporting them this entire time?
I do believe the union has been supporting them through the strike fund, though exactly how much it is I don't know. I can try to get a hold of a UNITE HERE friend and see if she knows.
That would be great, I am trying to find out some stuff about it right now myself. I had a few friends do stories on them over the years. Otherwise I will just go ask them on Tuesday when I am down there.
I didn't know that had been on strike for so long. Wow. I know that I have seen them outside every time I've walked by for the past four years that I've lived out here though.
Seems like only yesterday, Cshess87!
