Trial starts for U.S. marshal in mob leak case

The criminal trial of a U.S. marshal accused of leaking secret information about the main witness in the Family Secrets investigation of the Chicago mob is set to begin today in U.S. District Court in Chicago.

John Ambrose, 41, was charged in 2007 with disclosing information about Nicholas Calabrese, the mobster turned government informant who was the key witness against several Chicago Outfit members in their 2007 murder trial.
