A man was stabbed overnight at the House of Blues, on the night of a performance by rapper Jay-Z.

Emergency personnel arrived just before 11:30 p.m. Tuesday for a stabbing at the House of Blues, 329 N. Dearborn St. They took a man in his 20s to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition, police said.

The stabbing stemmed from an argument between the victim and another man as they were leaving the concert area shortly before 11:30 p.m., said Police News Affairs Officer Gabrielle Lesniak. The victim's sister and the other man's girlfriend got into an argument, and the men stepped into the fray, she said. That escalated into a shoving match between the men and then the stabbing.
