An interesting story. I wonder if they would have still been shot if they only told the intruders to leave the building. We'll never know.

Too bad only the criminals can own hand guns in the city....
Police officers and licensed private investigators can possess guns in Chicago. Plenty of homeowners and business people have unlicensed guns in the city, which we usually only hear about after they shoot a robber or intruder.
Makes an exciting story, but one wonders whether these drug dealers were provoked in some way? Street smarts suggest that you know your opponent before starting a fight.
