I see this a lot too, but I don't think making designated "sleeping cars" would change much. People are still going to fall asleep wherever they're sitting.
Whose bright idea was it that Pullman Palace Cars should ever go out of style?
Sleeping cars on the Red Line would would turn into homeless shelters I have a feeling.

I see a lot of people sleeping, but rarely two people draped over each other like the picture.
