Not if the baby's cute & well behaved, tracyswartz.

I'm torn. Maybe a limit on the size of the stroller would suffice, perhaps? Not all strollers are created equally. What if the mother is on her way to work during those times? It's rather inconvenient.

Although I do think it's quite annoying during rush hour when those strollers take up large amounts of space, there aren't many alternatives.

Borrowing a page from Minority Report, TracySwartz?

In that movie, actor Tom Cruise as Chief John Anderton (Department of Pre-Crime in Washington D.C.) intervened before a crime occurred thanks to three pre-cognitives immersed in a pool of water, ostensibly to enhance their ability to see future crimes.

My sources suggest one scenario: as with now famed musician Clara Barton, some commuters insist on trying to open closing mass transit train doors by shoving an obstruction through the elastomeric door edges, only to find that the safety edge relay logic doesn't re-open the door. The soft elastomeric edge on the closing CTA transit doors is large enough to allow a commuter to push through the stroller handle. Subsequently, under this scenario, if the handle became stuck, relay logic prevents the door from re-opening to protect those passengers standing beside the closed door during crowded rush hour commutes.

As tempting as it may be to appeal to readers's parental love for their children, my sources suggest that CTA investigators will likely find that a rash act may have contributed to the sensational report which graced this morning's Chicago Sun Times headlines.

Would your sources be "precogs?"
