trueslant.com - 161 views    bury it

Good old homegrown citizen outrage, captured in vibrant colors and a well-placed reference to Edvard Munch’s “The Scream” and unmistakably lampooning Mayor Daley’s parking meter fiasco, as captured on a Rogers Park bench. Makes you long for summer -- more specifically, the summer before parking costs skyrocketed.

That graffiti is awesome! The parking meter fiasco's been a real existential crisis for a lot of Chicagoans. It's this huge looming menace that we're more or less powerless to do anything about except pay up.

Glad to see this front-paged. Quick snippets of Chicago coolness make the morning run faster.

You should leave a note at the site inviting the artist to come forward.

Chicago street art.

The way those three words hang together so perfectly, how could examples of it be anything less than awesome?

well, technically it's not a graffiti, neighbors express themselves on some cement revetment slash bench seating every year
