Apparently any type of bottle or corkage fee from BYOB restaurants is illegal under Chicago laws. Will you call your local place on it or just pay the fee?
So turns out corkage fees are totally illegal

Results from the informal twitter poll so far say "pay it!"
Thoughts?
At the country club I was a waiter at for two years we sold wine but also allowed members to bring their own bottles. We charged $18 corkage fee per bottle open. Some nights I would open 10 bottles for a table of 12 people. Think it is illegal to charge a fee if you offer the ability to buy and bring?
Time to put a cork in it, WindyCitizens!
