As the calendar pages turn, farmers markets like Chicago's Green City market get more colorful. The root vegetables and greens like Swiss chard and collards that are most common in the beginning of the season are still there, but I also saw plenty of fresh berries, onions, garlic, grand heaps of broccoli, mushrooms, lettuce, micro-greens, and even some tomatoes, to name a few.
