Your commenters read my mind. This is the latest tactic from companies that want to suppress bad press. Instead of asking your take down your review, they claim that you're infringing on their trademark and threaten a lawsuit that way. They know you have no money to fight a suit and expect you to fall in line. Keep us posted.
Scary, The Commish! Let's hook up our PCs up to our HD TVs using a Monster HDMI cables up & watch the movie--Monster Ball! Then we can run off to a Halloween costume shop & buy monster garb. Don't think me a monster for carrying on so!
Qstrian, that's the best comment I've read from you yet. You're darn right to point out all the other companies also using this "mark." In fact, I've read that Monster Cable is incredibly litigious about other people calling themselves by that name. The energy drink guys better watch out.
What if all of the major companies using "Monster" were to receive a similar cease & desist intellectual property letter on Frank & Stein law firm's stationery?
Let the ghouls sort it out!
