Not saying it's good or bad, just kind of weird. I suppose the department of health should be stocked up on female condoms so they can give them out. $6 million dollars probably buys quite a few.

Interestingly:

Global Protection Corp., the vendor in this deal, is based in Boston according to their site...

...BUT...

The Female Health Company, which manufactures the condoms as far as I can tell (compare the pics of the packaging on http://www.femalehealth.com/theproduct.html to the link above) is based in Chicago.

Coincidence? Probably not.

Has the city used them up yet?
