According to a study by the Trust for America's Health and the Robert Wood Foundation, one in three children is overweight in Illinois, which puts the state at 10th in the country for percentage of children from 10-17 as too heavy. Illinois ranks No. 4 when it comes to childhood obesity because 20.7 percent of Illinois' children qualify as obese.
