I voted "ballpark." An afternoon at Wrigley with a few friends is really a pleasant, memorable experience.
From the choices in the poll I'd also vote ballpark.
Off the poll, I'd add in some live music. I was at a show at the Riviera last Friday and was reminded of just how fun that can be.
Also, not trying to be lame, but the view from the top of the Hancock Tower is worth seeing if you're only here for a day. Why is it so easy to get up there compared to the Sears Tower?
Ballpark would definitely be number one-nothing better than going to a game in the summer. The Lake would be a great way to spend a day.
One thing I would like to do for a day downtown this summer would be to go to a festival or event that I have never been to before.

You're onto something there. It's almost silly how you can find anything you could possibly want to eat in Chicago and it's quite likely it will taste great.
Agreed. There are at least 5 great restaurants for every type of cuisine imaginable. And let's not forget the world famous Pizza, Italian Beef and Sausages and Hot Dogs!!

Great suggestions. I also like food, music, festivals and so on. In writing the poll, I just tried to pick four popular things to do in Chicago -- things I have planned for friends who visit town.
The one thing I would add to my own poll is the twice-a-week fireworks show at Navy Pier (Wednesday and Saturday). We went on a fireworks boat tour last Saturday. It was a great Saturday night thing to do.
As I'm still a Chicago newbie, I could always use some advice on other things to do to enjoy the city.
