Studs Terkel to be posthumuously inducted into Radio Hall of Fame

The Chicago radio legend will be inducted along with Harry Kalas and Jose Miguel Agrelot. Terkel died on October 31, 2008.

One of my journalism classes at Loyola was based around Studs Terkel's work in "Hard Times." In fact the name of our blog was called Hard Times.

The Chicago Reader shared the following information with the Windy Citizen:

What little seriousness the "NRHOF" (hey, that's what they call it themselves!) had left was exhausted last year when it missed its last chance even to nominate Studs -- he was never nominated, in any category, since the "inductions" began in 1992
