Google Calendars for Chicago Outdoor Concerts 2009

submitted 2 years ago by JoeGermuska

Amanda Ruzin has put together Google Calendars for six of Chicago's great outdoor music series: Grant Park Music Festival, Summerdance, Downtown Sound: New Music Mondays, Music Without Borders, Made in Chicago: World Class Jazz and Edible Audible Picnic.

Now you won't have an excuse for missing out.

Web gem! :) This is the definitely of useful. Thanks for the share. Upvoted.

So who's going to any of these? Last summer I found Tuesdays on the Terrace to be pretty great for second dates.

I'd never heard of Made in Chicago. Any other jazz nerds out there?

I guess I'm a jazz nerd. I do a show at WNUR (see http://blog.germuska.com/playlists) Last couple of years Made in Chicago has been awesome. This summer's lineup looks good too...

I'm glad other people are getting use out of the calendar.

I'm hoping to go to a lot of these. You can't go wrong with sitting on the lawn, and this year I've got a tarp.

I'm an aspiring Jazz nerd. And I actually prefer Mississippi Blues to Chicago Blues. I loves me some WDCB - http://www.cod.edu/wdcb/index2.htm - College of Dupage Public Radio.

This is great! Why don't these events make google calendars for themselves anyway?

Fantastic find. It is really convenient for people to see these events all in one place so one can plan where they are going when a little easier without having several tabs/web browsers open.
