Just threw my name in the ring. Sweet offer, SC.
And you give yourself away... and you give yourself away...
Oh god. I, uh, got something in my eye --

Also, if you're desperate, this guy on Craigslist is offering lower level tickets for $250 a pop: http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/tix/1365705822.html
Entered! Thanks for doing this Sound Citizen. Is there any way I can increase my chances of winning? Haven't seen U2 live since the PopMart tour :-(
Sorry Anna - equal opportunity for all!
But best of luck to you!
LN has been papering the hell out of the second show. It's practically impossible NOT to get a free ticket.
Definitely been seeing posters up all over the place. Are you going?
A castration with a rusty butter knife would be more enjoyable.
That said, the LN reps have called our office three times in the past week:
LN: "Do you or your clients need tickets?"
US: No thanks. Everyone who wanted them has them.
LN: "C'mon, are you sure? What about friends and family?"
US: No, we're good.
LN: "Buddy, these are club level, just go and enjoy the show."
I've heard similar stories, especially for the Dublin shows..Sounds like LN promised a massive guarantee and while this will still do well, they're handing out a TON of freebies to recoup money through concessions.
Now then, how do I get them to call ME up offering free tickets? :-)
That's pretty darn interesting. These big concert promoter deals like the one LN has with U2 have been in the news a lot lately as "the future of music." Perhaps there's a lot of hustling going on behind the scenes to make the numbers work.
Isn't there always? What industry isn't having to hustle nowadays to keep the money rolling in?
It's a shame U2 haven't done anything remotely interesting since Zooropa or I'd enter the contest as well.
Just met my ex on FB and we both LOVE U2 - what would be more amazing then going to the concert with him for his 40th bday (which is on the 19th).
