He is now in a fight for his life because of his heroism. He, and others, have been diagnosed with an immune system cancer that medical researchers have connected to toxins from the WTC. He needs to find a bone marrow match. YOU could save his life! Please register. The drive is 9:30 am to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21 at the zoo.

Why not Chicago-based Lifesource, Lincoln Park Zoo?
How is this relevant to Chicago?
Thanks for your question and interest. The relevance to Chicago is that Roy is our curator's family member. We are supporting our zoo family by hosting this drive, which will add potential donors to the National Bone Marrow Registry --a resource for all Americans in need of a match. Our entire country (not just NYC, or Chicago) was impacted by the Sept. 11 attack. The zoo wants to help a hero in need. We hope you'll join us in this effort.
