Well, The Zoo sounds like a vanity project. Maybe the owner just wants to own a club but doesn't want to take the trouble to actually run a good one?
Who the heck is closed on a Wednesday?
That is exactly what I said. If The Zoo had no competition, it would make sense, but they don't...so they need to try.
And no tap? Horrible!
Someone sic the fun police on these people.
And fire your friends who recommended it to you.
The Commish, do you explore a lot in Wrigleyville? Is there a semi-classy (or a least a place with decent beer) that is not filled with co-ed hot mess?
Please help.
Could try uncommonground just north of wrigley.
Yes, sir - Try Monsignor Murphy's at Wellington and Broadway.
Sounds good. Any other takers? I just cannot take anymore Old Style, frat guys or sorostitutes.
If you want the only Old Man bar in Wrigley, try the Nisei Lounge, on Sheffield. http://www.yelp.com/biz/nisei-lounge-chicago
Or go up to the Gingerman by the Metro on Clark.
I guess I should clarify that I am a 22 and a girl. It seems like a lot of people think I might be an older dude!
Thanks for all the ideas. So far we have Uncommonground, Monsignor Murphy's, Nisei Lounge and Gingerman.
I did visit a relatively quiet bar with tasty food the other day called Uberstein. Any other cool places?
PS, I have rooftop tickets for the Cubs game Monday and just wanted to get anyone's opinion of what to expect! Got them as a deal on Groupon and am really excited because I am newish to Chicago and this will be my first Cubs game!!!
