If you’re not familiar, The Violet Hour is located in Wicker Park, half a block off the Damen blue line stop, behind a graffitied, camoflaged door. The bar has specific house rules such as no cellphones (one I can thoroughly appreciate). Minus a few people sitting at the bar, a diverse crowd of people of all ages sat at individual tables in elegant, high-back leather chairs that made you feel important even if you’re just some lowly part-time worker like me.

Thanks for the share, lana4d! The Wicker Park thriller movie left me intrigued by life in this Chicago Northwest Side neighborhood!
