Homeless Streetwise vendor mentored, given shelter and a fresh start by MD and wife

When Dr. Allen Goldberg learned Atkinson, the man he regularly bought his Streetwise from, had been thrown out of a flophouse because he couldn't pay the bill, the doctor offered him a chance to live in his building for a while and rebuild his health. This has led to journey towards self sufficiency and better health, as the doctor and his wife became a source of emotional support, human and medical care.
