Mark Kirk is a ticket-punching phony who has been able to bamboozle the media into covering him as some learned policy wonk.
Remember, this guy is supposed to be a genius on security, intelligence and foreign policy. Mark Kirk was one of those geniuses who thought invading Iraq was a great idea.
Kirk has punched his ticket and done stuff along the way. But the evidence shows he hasn't learned anything along the way except how to manipulate the media and climb the ladder in the DC GOP establishment.
I wonder how this kind of rhetoric will play these days? This isn't the Reagan 80's anymore.

Ah, Kirk has ambitions to run for Senate in 2010.
And the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry is so far the 3rd highest contributor to his 2010 campaign, according to opensecrets.org.
And I don't suppose the timing was by accident, with the entire AMA in town for Obama's speech today.
