The world needs to know what's going on in Iran. Twitter has been used for this, but the authorities are blocking it, and trying to hijack it. We want to offer an alternative channel for information to get out of Iran.

It's a message that has since been tweeted and retweeted.
This is really a great thing. I have read a ton about hackers and individuals setting up proxy servers and helping out that way. I am glad to see a major institution is taking a stand.
