And now it is official. He has pleaded guilty according to the New York Times.

Harris's defense attorney, Terry Ekl, said he expects Blagojevich to go to trial on racketeering conspiracy charges and that his client would take the witness stand to outline what he knows about corruption in the administration.

''I have never met a person who is going to be a better witness than John Harris is going to be,'' Ekl told reporters after his client pleaded guilty.

According to a Tribune article, Harris may not be the only one to plead guilty

Terry Ekl, an attorney who represents John Harris, said Wednesday he expects his client to plead guilty and cooperate in the probe as soon as his next court date July 8. Alonzo "Lon" Monk, whose cooperation first was disclosed by the Tribune in April, is scheduled to plead guilty on July 21, public court records show.
