Behave, gripeoftheday.com.

Rosemont residents vote for what they get. From the days hanging out with his chums @ the Thuderbird motel along the banks of the Des Plaines River, the late Don Stephens fashioned an empire from this Northwest Suburban village's advantaged location along the flight paths leading to O'Hare Airport.

For years, I worked across the street from the Village of Rosemont HDQ & admired the addition of each new luxury hotel, upscale restaurant and, most recently, my favorite--the Muvico movie theatre.

If you care to challenge this dynasty, move in to Rosemont, circulate your political nominating petitions & run for office.

For myself, I'll continue to marvel @ the private public partnership which is known as Rosemont, Illinois

I'm only going to comment on the Muvico: overpriced, terrible food, lousy service. There's better places to go watch a movie.

The Cops are pretty aggressive up there. I've seen them kick the crap out of some comic nerd kid in the lobby of the Hyatt during the tomfoolery following one of the Wizard World shows a few years back.

Oh yeah, and they really messed up this kid at a concert I went to at the Rosemont Horizon. Like four cops hurled this 16 year old over a jersey block and into the back seat of a waiting squad.

I trace it all back to the rose they have on their department patches:

Above that rose patch the Rosemont police carry a pretty big chip on their shoulders.

The romantic rose carries special significance--a thing of beauty to be cherished my dear fellow Windy Citizens.

Join the mob and work your way up and one day you might be behind the curtain working the levers of Rosemont...
