Amazing what you can find in those City Hall sofa cushions once there is no one left to fire but clout listers.

Sell capital equipment assets or layoff employees, that's the only two approaches which skilled financial managers have to reduce City of Chicago spending.

Union collective bargaining agreements & pension commitments make the latter a "cold hard slog" to paraphrase my former client--Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.

So, what's on the municipal menu, fellow Windy Citizens?
