Wait, so there's a former assessor named Tom Hynes? He's got to be related to Dan Hynes, right?

It's a whole family of government bean counters!

Your post pleasures me, lanarama!

More Chicagoans should understand how a few Chicago families continue to control taxing us all for generations. Tax levies, property tax assessment, bonded indebtedness, debt service are all aspects of the same escalating tax burden which plagues us all young & old, rich & poor.

Those seven groomsmen for the late Supreme Court Justice & Chicago Mayor Michael Bilandic continue to exert control over Illinois government from Springfield to Chicago. Tom Hynes was one of the elite members of the Bilandic wedding party; his son serves as the State Comptroller & bids to become our next Governor.

I dunno what's more troubling, the elitist clicks who run the show and wield power in local government (where there's less and less newspaper oversight) or that fact that poor lana's post was pleasuring you.

It's truly joyful to see others coming to the conclusions that tightly controlled power is a great danger to the republic, ChicagoBankerMan. Pleasure may be found on a variety of levels, some of which Sheriff Dart now knows should be left to the privacy of consenting adults.

Ha! Well-said. Well-said. Make sure to reply directly to the comment in question next time so we keep the threads together.
