VA "cutbacks" let to public subsidies for private nursing homes. My father was much better cared for @ Chicago's Warren Barr Pavilion (one of my former clients) than if he had remained the Veteran's Administration Medical Center @ Hines, Illinois.

What's the purpose of this rally?

Is it to preserve the jobs of health care providers such as my now retired mother-in-law who worked nights for 25 years @ Cook County's Oak Forest Hospital?

Or will the rally serve simply to protest public subsidy of private facilities?

If the latter, advances in medicine have reduced hospital room stays for most patients & now encourage outpatient care, clinic care & home health care as provided by my now retired mother-in-law.
