Who is Karen Saffold?
The woman being accused is Karen Saffold, and a quote from the story:
I also found she is in charge of area 16, but CPS's site and searching Google and Bing bring up no answers as to where area 16 is. Perhaps someone with a better working knowledge of CPS can fill in some more.
Karen Saffold is an Area Instructional Officer for Area 16. Saffold,a former principal of Vanderpoel Magnet, replaced Joyce Bristow as AIO.

John, I think that you are on to something here!
Allow me to ask whether the reporter has corroborated this report with multiple sources. My MBE sources suggest that vendors must be first vetted out before doing business with the Chicago Public Schools. Who clouted the vendor & has this vendor cooperated with past solicitations? While these allegations may attract your trusting upvotes, is it possible that this spurned vendor so characterized fund-raising requests to make a fuss about losing contracts? Please share your comments.
I am not sure of the reputation of this vendor, but I am familiar with K. Saffold. I do know that she can untruthful and unfair. I do believe that she can have a good heart and do the right thing, but sometimes, unfortunately, power can corrupt the best of us.
