Wow! Great Share, Alexander. This www.chicagonow.com web log blog will prove to be groundbreaking. It doesn't reach conclusions, however tempting. What it does is narrow the scope.
As any good legal litigator knows, narrowing the scope of questioning is key to understanding any such arrangement raised by the US Attorney's investigation of Chicago Public Schools select enrollment high schools.
I still can't get over Daley suggesting to the press that maybe this should be seen as a good thing, because hey, there was a time when it wasn't worth it to bribe and clout your way into a Chicago school.

What we learned from the State of Illinois pension placement & Chicago River North development is that pay-to-play schemes often bridge many realms.
Next week, I will report that the very construction of CPS select enrollment schools, eminent domain condemnation & rezoning of these properties may suggest a labryinth of politico-business-patronage arrangments; admission of marginally qualified students may have been but an afterthought--icing on the cake.
The why & the how may prove as important as the list of those admitted.
