...and people can get back to forgetting about Jim Parque.
Kinda feel bad for the guy. Of all days to come clean about steroids, a current Sox pitcher throws a freaking PERFECT GAME.
"The Catch That Saved Mark Buehrle's Perfect Game"
Here's the entire top of the 9th.

The Ray's Twitter tried to jinx it!
Here, here, here, here, here and here! And there are tons and tons more by them!
If you missed it, the game will be replayed on CSN Chicago.
Might be funny to hear Hawk the entire game.
The whole story becomes all the more incredible due to that outstanding 9th inning diving, bobbling, desperation catch in center field.
Agreed. AND Wise was a 9th inning defensive substitution!!
And years from now who will be remembered more for his effort: Wise or Buehrle? I'd say it's a toss up right now.
Oh, and Buehrle got a call from Obama after the game. Pretty amazing day.
Well considering that the pitcher gets the credit for the perfect game, years from now Buehrle will be the one remembered.
True, but I feel like when people remember this day/game/perfect game, they will remember Wise's incredible catch equally. I think it'll become synonymous with this perfect game.

Wasn't this story contributed by another www.windycitizen.com correspondant?
I'm sure it was. And I'm sure more than one White Sox fan frequents Windy Citizen.
Oh god, this was one for the ages. My heart stopped when that ball was ripped into center-field in the 9th. It wouldn't have been as incredible if Wise hadn't made such an effort and came down with it. Such a great, great game!
