Companion PC, not your solo computer is the recommended approach to shopping for one of the newest PC netbooks. Most are loaded with Microsoft XP because processing speed is limited to one or two gigabytes of RAM.

Solid state hard drives afford owners little C-drive storage, so expect to use flash drives or external hard drives from Western Digital or Seagate (two of my favorites).

For many students or Metra commuters, netbooks become a light-weight traveling companion--paired with another desktop or laptop Personal Computer. Create your digital content on the latter & you'll be delighted!
