Anyone seen this yet? Is it any good beyond getting to see Wolverine and James Bond on stage at the same time? $134 is a lot to cough up for this girl.
I saw the production at Steppenwolf with the two actors in the photo. It was the most intense theatre I have ever seen. It's gripping, and it takes a person back to another era when the CPD started changing in terms of the demographics within.
Intriguing, Tamale, Chica!
If they ever do another run here, I definitely recommend it. The actors portrayed two cops at almost opposite ends of the spectrum, the old and the new. One is better equipped to handle the day to day stresses of the street, the other becomes a victim of the street. Boundaries are crossed, and lives are changed. It's not a feel good play, but I had read reviews where the playwright received kudos from many of our city's police and firemen for his realistic portrayals.
