Yeah, I don't get it. I posted it exactly for that reason: it's interesting and discussion-worthy (or maybe ridicule-worthy). In any event, it's worthy of being examined.

I voted this article down because the girl who wrote it (a) is a bitch (b) has a lot of inaccurate information and (c) doesn't properly justify why she can't move somewhere else, other than to say "circumstances don't permit that right now". Also, by promoting this article you're only doing this unhelpful, immature blogger a favor with the large amount of traffic going her way.

Chicago sucks in countless ways but that blog sucks more. And I'm not even talking about the content which is another story.
Yes, the blog sucks. Yes, it has some dubious info in it. But no one wants to address the content at all?
Also, calling the writer a bitch is totally out of line. I don't agree with a lot of people either, but I don't resort to petty name-calling.
As for her not properly justifying why she can't move somewhere else, I don't see a problem with that. Must she lay bare her financial and professional situation? Must she detail every aspect of her life that precludes her from moving elsewhere? I think not.
