More than a year ago, chef Rick Bayless announced plans to open a hot chocolate and churro spot — modeled after Mexico City’s famous Churreria El Moro — next to his other outposts on North Clark Street. The little corner shop, called Xoco, still hasn’t opened to the public (although a few magazines have written about it as if it’s been open for months) but Bayless’ dream of owning an entire city block will come one step closer to reality this Tuesday.
