Wilmette police are advising residents to be careful about letting their pets outside after a poodle was killed by a coyote in front of a residence. The coyote ran away after it killed the 12-year-old toy poodle Monday afternoon in front of a residence in the 1000 block of Ashland Avenue, police said.
