Electronic ticketing system close to reality in county courts

For Chicago area motorists, for better or worse, the process of getting a ticket will soon take much less time.

Six area circuit court clerks on Tuesday demonstrated a new electronic traffic ticket system that allows officers to produce an e-ticket on a squad car computer in about half the time that it takes to produce a handwritten ticket.
