Stanford University conducted a poll that suggests prejudicial racial attitudes about blacks by white Democrats could cost South Side native and Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama the election. The study of 2,227 adults showed as many as 40 percent believe in at least one negative, stereotypical description of African Americans.
