Nice story from Mick Dumke of the Reader about an early interview with Obama while working at the Chicago Reporter.
The gist:
Obama didn't know about the interview and was annoyed to be pulled away from fundraising. Yet as soon as they got into policy details, he lit up and talked for a solid 90 minutes.
Latest Dunke ran into him again in the Grant Park parking lot and invited him to play some touch football with him and some friends. Obama declined...to make fundraising phone calls.
