Midway Airport's Terminal Development Program introduced this consultant to plans to develop the Cicero Avenue corridor from the Stevenson Expressway to Midway Airport.

Now that support for the Central Avenue project just west of Midway Airport has advanced to design, proponents will be reviewing the Cicero Avenue redevelopment. One plan calls for creating a tunnel to bi-pass intersecting streets or simply using the City of Chicago eminent domain authority to clear what some may regard as a blighted stretch of State Route 50--Cicero Avenue.

Recall that the fated Cross-town Expressway was once planned to create a new north-south expressway from the I-90 Kennedy Expressway on the North side to the I-55 Stevenson Expressway on the South side.
