2016 Olympic Games benefits will likely fall disproportionately to some neighborhoods, contractors & businesses, while neglecting others. Sensible plans should make use of existing Olympic caliber facililties such as the Portage Park swimming pool--home to a past Pan Am Games competition & afforded 1968 swimmer Mark Spitz a suitable venue from which to qualify.
I applaud efforts to put the facts & financial projections on the table for all to see. Let the people decide.
even more, it will fall disproportionately to those with connections. I agree that if it were properly planned the benefits would spread. As a friend of mine often said
"if if was a fifth we'd all be drunk"
That isn't happening. We are getting the word out but that won't change the facts.
Great share, mikevolpe!
