Mayor's brother William 'considering' a run in 2010

<p>Former U.S. Commerce Secretary William Daley, the mayor's brother, is &quot;seriously considering&quot; a race for governor in 2010 after taking a pass six years ago and regretting it ever since, sources said Tuesday. </p><p>Bill Daley was bullied out of the 2002 race by Ald. Richard Mell (33rd), father-in-law of Gov. Blagojevich. Mell threatened to dirty up the mayor's brother with talk of Bill Daley's divorce and his stint as president of Amalgamated Bank. </p><p>Now Bill Daley is apparently looking to scratch his life-long political itch. He's sounding out Democrats and big-time fundraisers about the 2010 race, as first disclosed by Chicago Sun-Times columnist Rich Miller in his &quot;Capitol Fax&quot; newsletter. </p><p>&quot;It's something he's seriously considering,&quot; said a source familiar with the discussions.
