When I was 14 years old, I was wrongfully accused and unjustly convicted of a double homicide in my hometown of Peoria, Illinois. In 2006, after spending 30 years in prison, I was granted clemency and released. Though a free man today, society still considers me an ex-felon, which is why I'm asking Governor Rod Blagojevich for a full pardon based on my actual innocence and to order DNA testing of the evidence that was used to convict me.
